In 1990 Princeton University divided Biology into the Departments of
Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Molecular Biology. Since then we have
grown and now consist of 18 faculty, approximately 35 graduate students and
about 100 undergraduate concentrators. Our offices and laboratories are
located in Guyot and Eno Halls, but our research often takes us to field
sites in Africa, Asia and parts of North, Central and South America.

general public. Through interdisciplinary research and its educational and

them to protect it.

The Institute of Zoology is the research division of the Zoological
Society of London. It is a government-funded research institute specialising
in scientific issues relevant to the conservation of animal species and
their habitats. The Institute is based at ZSL's Regents Park site, London.

The Special Pathogens Branch's charter is the study of highly infectious
viruses that also produce severe disease in humans. Our daily work involves
the investigation of viruses that cause several hemorrhagic fevers, such as
Ebola hemorrhagic fever, Lassa fever, and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, and
other recently identified and emerging viral diseases, such as Nipah virus
encephalitis.
